his EP 5 To Care About it is no wonder why Austin, Texas named
this Zeitgeist artist Blu Sanders as one of the 10 best singer-songwriters
in 1999.
With songs such as "Laughing on the Worst Day of Our Lives" in which Blu writes "We'll kick the sorrow baby, if you can say yes, I'll get you out of this mess and we'll be laughing on the worst day of our lives." All of the songs on the EP are soul baring and true emotions are showed by Blu. The song "Promise" is one of the most honest songs with lyrics such as "I've had this feeling since I'm 12 years old I always thought that I'd grow old with someone stick together baby side by side that feeling's over by the 100th time I never thought that maybe all I was was scared I poured myself all over anyone that cared." While the song "How I'll Wait" is about the a fallen love where the guy is waiting for the girl to want him back. Other songs on this EP include "One True Thing" and "All into you." Not only is Blu incredibly amazing at writing songs, he plays them just as well. His guitar playing is not the typical "rockstar" style; Blu plays as smooth as his voice. 5 To Care About is one of the best EP's out there today.
