Aten is a typical 22 year-old who has experienced the same things as the majority of his peers. From being the heartbreaker to being the heartbroken, Aten's love songs are mature and direct, lacking the sappiness and sugar-coating that many other musicians offer. His gift of writing from an alternative perspective is an inventive and unique way to look at relationships. "Life is too short to sing about one thing. I'm going to sit down with my guitar and write about where I am, where I was, where I wish I could be, and the fact is I'm not going to be in love all the time.
